1st Annual ECDS Summer Spearfishing Tournament June 14- August 30, 2009 UPDATES Rich Venuti: Lobster - 4.5" at 1.76lbs Henry Frankel: Flounder - 29" at 8.18 lbs

- Categories: Tautog, Flounder, Sea Bass, Lobster - Any fish/lobster being submitted needs to meet government regulations, be officially weighed and photographed. If fish/lobster does not meet with current regulations, please safely return animal. - Official Weigh In Station: On board the Atlantus, Dina Dee, & Ursula ONLY - Non-Refundable Entry Fee: $20, Early Entry Fee (Anytime prior to June 14): $15. Must be paid prior to dive. You may enter the tournament at any time during the summer but you must pay entry fee before entering water to participate - Prizes: Will be based on number of contestants, possible prizes are: gift certificate, bug bag, lobster gauge, fillet knife and scale, spear tip, pole spear, t-shirt First place prize awarded in each category. Prize awarded to largest fish of each species. The Master Spearfisher award will be given to the diver that shoots fish/lobster in the most categories and has the highest score. Fish do not have to place to be counted. Scoring is as follows: Ten (10) points per first fish per CATEGORY entered and one (1) point per POUND, up to one hundred and fifty (150) points maximum per category. There will be an official scale and measuring board on each vessel. RULES 1. Contest is limited to East Coast Diving Charters on the Atlantus, Dina Dee, or Ursula. 2. All Scuba Diving contestants need to be scuba certified and possess a Certification Card. 3. All fish must meet regulations and can be speared, stabbed, or grabbed by the diver. All fish/lobster caught by the diver must be brought aboard the boat by the diver that obtained them. No mutilated fish/lobster is eligible for the tournament. 4. There will be no ties. All decisions will made by the Instructor/Divemaster in charge that day. All decisions are FINAL.

Awards BBQ will occur at the dock in Gardner’s Basin (Atlantic City) on August 30th after the dive to the Gloria.
